After scoring 36 in a win over the Lakers, Blake Griffin became the second player in LA Clippers franchise history to ever reach 10,000 points.

The LA Clippers defeated the Lakers 115-104 on Saturday afternoon, but that wasn’t the only highlight of the day. Blake Griffin scored 36 points, giving him 10,034 points for his career. Griffin, who has spent his whole career with the Clippers, joins Randy Smith as the only two Clippers to ever score 10,000 points with the team. Randy Smith scored 12,735 points as a member of the Buffalo Braves and San Diego Clippers from 1971-1979.

Technically, Griffin is the first Los Angeles Clipper  to ever accomplish the feat.

Blake Griffin, who can become a free agent at the end of the season, could pass Smith as the all-time leading scorer probably within the next two seasons.

In seven seasons, Griffin is averaging 21.5 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game.

Clippers’ All-Time Leading Scorers:

1.) Randy Smith – 12,735

2.) Blake Griffin – 10,034

3.) Bob McAdoo – 9,434

4.) Elton Brand – 9,336

5.) Corey Maggette – 8,835

7.) Danny Manning – 7,120

8.) Loy Vaught – 6,614
