On March 28th, J.J. joined The Late Late Show with James Corden where he talks fatherhood and plays a game of “Basketball or Cake”.

Monday night, J.J. Redick was a guest on James Corden’s CBS talk show, The Late Late Show with James Corden. You may know James Corden from his viral “Carpool Karaoke” skits. (And just two weeks ago, James Corden became Blake Griffin’s new life coach.)

Dressed in a sleek, leather bomber jacket and sporting a deep part in his neat haircut, the Clippers’ sharpshooter was looking dapper as always.

J.J. started off by talking about what it’s like being a father of two boys. Raising his sons, 3 year old Knox and 7 month old Kai, may be a challenge he wasn’t expecting to be as difficult as it is.

“It’s a lot more work than anyone really tells you,” he says. “Its way worse, ’cause there’s two of them.”

But as challenging as being a father can be, J.J. concludes that’s “it’s the best thing ever.” Then, the topic of basketball came up.

Though Knox, the oldest, enjoys playing basketball on his Fisher-Price mini hoop, he doesn’t exactly take after his dad. Rather than shooting jump shots, Knox prefers to play a different style of basketball.

“All he wants to do is shoot dunk shots like DeAndre Jordan. That’s his favorite player.”

Well, at least we know that Knox has good taste.

J.J. also tells a couple other fun stories of him and Knox, all in the video below.

Basketball or Cake?

In another segment, J.J. participated in a game of “Basketball or Cake”. Standing on the roof of a building, J.J. throws down either a basketball or a basketball shaped cake to three catchers on the ground. The catchers on the ground have to catch as many as possible, without knowing if what’s being thrown is a cake or just a basketball. Let’s just say that things got very messy:
