Why is the Clippers’ Blake Griffin always overlooked?

Warriors takeover in the west

Much of the attention shifting away from Blake Griffin has to do with the Golden State Warriors’ over-night takeover. One season, the Clippers beat them in the first round, the next season they’re winning an NBA championship. Although short lived, the Clippers and Warriors rivalry was always a fun one. And even though they won’t admit it, the Warriors M.O. every time they meet to this day is to destroy the Clippers until the very end, even if that means showing no mercy and abandoning all types of class.

Well, what does this have to do with Blake? Once the Clippers started to shed their Lob City personas with the arrival of Doc Rivers, a new, flashier team emerged in California to capture the hearts of NBA fans. And although it’s no longer trendy to be a Warriors fan, Blake’s decrease in popularity can be attributed to the Dubs suddenly becoming an elite team.
