The Morning After: Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford Shine against Celtics

Clutch City

The Clippers came through in the clutch. Led by Jamal Crawford‘s explosion, the team not only cut a lead down from 13 in the late 3rd, they went up by 18 in the 4th. Boston, who boasts one of the top two clutch scorers in the league, never led in the 4th quarter. The Clippers closing out games has been an issue over the past years, so it was great to see the team actually have some heart.

The team actually ended the game on a 41-14 run. It got to the point where the crowd was even getting into it, despite the fact that it looked to be almost a 50/50 split of Clippers and Celtics fans. This was in part due to what seemed like back-to-back-to-back DeAndre Jordan dunks.

It ended up being just a solid performance all around. The team was hitting all the necessary shots.

Most importantly, they seemed to actually have fun. This is something that other teams do so well, but the Clippers have never seemed to just go out and play full effort with enjoyment. It’s definitely a welcome site to see.
