3rd Choice – Portland Trailblazers

The Blazers are something of an unknown entity, with four new starters this year creating a completely different chemistry and line-up for opponents to combat. All-Star snub Damian Lillard recently lit up Golden State for a career-high 51 points in only the fifth loss for the Warriors all season. He and C.J. McCollum are both averaging over 20 points a game in a terrific offensive backcourt to provide Paul and J.J. Redick with some problems.

Al-Farouq Aminu is arguably the type of wing player the Clippers would have loved this off-season but would never have been able to pay, while the Blazers could suffer against Griffin and Jordan on the inside, making them perhaps a more preferable matchup to L.A.

As it stands this season: 2-1 in favor of the Clippers.

(Teams have never met in the playoffs).
