25 June 2013 – Doc joins the Clippers

In order to get Doc to Clipperland, the team had to give up an unprotected 2015 first-round draft pick to the Celtics as a way of compensation for GM Danny Ainge losing his coach. The Celtics picked up Brad Stevens who has been an inspired choice for the rebuild that sees them currently up to third place in the Eastern Conference, without a huge star (with respect to first-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas).

This deal was made after the league vetoed a trade of Kevin Garnett and DeAndre Jordan. R.J. Hunter was selected with the 28th pick in the draft by the Celtics in the 2015 draft and has seen limited action.

Next: Bye bye Bledsoe, hello J.J.
