5) LOB CITY!!

When Blake Griffin arrived in Los Angeles, unbeknowingly, he kickstarted would be a complete 180-degree turn for the franchise. Behind he and DeAndre Jordan‘s high-flying prowess, soon to be dubbed “Lob City”, the Clippers went from worst team in the league to most exciting, and the culture rubbed off on everyone, Chauncey Billups included as he fed the big man for some of the best highlight dunks in their early careers.

Known as a scorer, Billups was a formidable scorer in his career. After 17 years in the league, Billups finished 39th on the NBA’s All-Time Career Assists List. For the Clippers, Billups failed to make any indent in the record books regarding assists, but his impact was surely elsewhere as Billups remains 4th (2984) on the Detroit Pistons franchise-leading assists list behind Isaiah Thomas (9061), Joe Dumars (4612), and Dave Bing (4330).

As a passer, Billups will never belong in the same conversation as the Magic Johnson’s and John Stockon’s of the NBA, but when scoring wasn’t his first option, Billups showed to be one heck of a playmaker in his career.
