Matchup to Watch: Kyrie Irving vs. Ricky Rubio
We can only hope the second and final matchup between these two teams ends up like the first one, sans the Minnesota Timberwolves climbing back from a huge deficit.
Nothing about the Cleveland Cavaliers remotely interests me at this point in the season. You have to think their offense will catch up with the defense due to having Kyrie Irving and a ‘healthy’ Andrew Bynum.
And while the Cavs are figuring it out, Kevin Love is putting up MVP type numbers. I don’t think a season of no K. Love made us forget how good a player he was, but his nightly numbers has kicked everyone’s memory back into place. Storyline’s matter when it comes to awards and I don’t think Love has the narrative that a Kevin Durant, Chris Paul or Paul George has, but if he isn’t mentioned for MVP candidates come seasons end, the media is doing us all a disservice.
