Can we expect a one-day turnaround? On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Clippers blitzed the Phoenix Suns out of the gate with a 37-10 first-quarter advantage before coasting to a 105-92 lead. The venue is switched for this matchup and the Suns are once again laying points.

Can the Clippers cover again as underdogs? Los Angeles clinched an automatic playoff spot with Tuesday’s win, but the Clippers still need another win to secure the No. 4 seed and the home-court advantage that comes with it. Meanwhile, Phoenix desperately needs to grab a win Wednesday as the Suns now trail the Pelicans by one game for the final automatic playoff spot.

Here’s the betting preview for the matchup with a pick.

Suns vs. Clippers key players to watch

Phoenix Suns

Devin Booker: Booker was averaging 32.5 points per game in April before a disastrous shooting performance in Tuesday’s loss. Booker finished with just 12 points with 10 of them coming at the free-throw line, going 1-of-11 from the field and 0-for-4 from downtown. Booker has now scored 18 points or less in four of his last eight outings, but has some monster scoring performances during that stretch, as well.

Los Angeles Clippers

Russell Westbrook: Seeing an increase in workload with Kawhi Leonard sidelined, Westbrook turned in one of his best games of the season with a 16-point, 15-rebound, 15-assist triple-double in Tuesday’s win in the desert. Westbrook is averaging 14.6 points, 7 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game in five April contests.

Suns vs. Clippers prediction and pick

Are the Clippers simply the Suns’ Achilles heel? It’s easy to project a similar game script as Tuesday night as these two teams switch venues and finish off the regular-season series. Los Angeles has the No. 1 offense in the Western Conference in net rating and has just been unstoppable against the Suns' above-average defensive unit this season.

In three games against the Suns, Los Angeles has combined to shoot a blistering 54.8% from the field (136-of-248) and 50.6% from beyond the arc (45-of-89). The Clippers have had no trouble continuing a strong playoff push without Kawhi Leonard on the floor, going 4-1 without him thanks to guys like Westbrook stepping up in elevated roles.

Phoenix is just 9-14-1 ATS as a road favorite this season and owns the league’s second-worst ATS mark (16-27-1) with equal rest on the year. You could maybe see motivation being a factor for the Clippers following a playoff-clinching win, but LA is still battling for the all-important No. 4 seed in the west and they can hang in with a Phoenix team they’ve beaten three times already. Take the points.
