The Indiana Pacers are currently in the No. 6 spot in the Eastern Conference standings but are just a half-game away from dropping into the NBA’s Play-In Tournament as the No. 7 Miami Heat are within striking distance.

The Pacers had won back-to-back road games before giving up 150 points in a loss to the Lakers Sunday night. They’ll stay in Los Angeles Monday night to face the Clippers as a modest underdog. The Clippers are coming off a disappointing performance in Sunday’s home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Looking to secure a top-4 seed in the Western Conference over the final stretch of the regular season, can the Clippers pull away from the high-scoring Pacers?

Here's the betting breakdown of Monday’s cross-conference clash with a best bet.

Pacers vs. Clippers key players to watch

Indiana Pacers

Pascal Siakam: Indiana’s big splash this season ahead of the NBA’s Trade Deadline, Siakam is averaging 21.4 points and 8 rebounds over 31 games. Siakam has posted double-doubles in four of the last five games, including in the last two contests of Indiana’s current road trip, combining for 61 points and 28 rebounds against the Lakers and Warriors.

Los Angeles Clippers

Russell Westbrook: Westbrook has been cleared to return after needing surgery on a fractured left hand. Westbrook hasn’t played since March 1. He is averaging 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game this season. The Clippers went 6-6 overall with Westbrook sidelined over the past three-plus weeks.

Pacers vs. Clippers prediction and pick

When facing the Pacers, you better have your track shoes on when facing an Indiana offense that is No. 2 in net rating and No. 2 in pace. Indiana, 12-10-1 ATS as a road underdog this season, is No. 1 in the NBA in scoring on the road, netting 120.8 points per game away from home.

Overall, the Clippers should struggle against the Pacers’ offense, just like the majority of teams do. Los Angeles still has a respectable defense that is 11th in the NBA in scoring and are top half of the NBA in points allowed in the paint. The Clippers are above-average in ball security and can slow down Indiana’s high-octane attack, ranking 12th in the NBA in points per game allowed off turnovers.

Offensively, the Clippers’ star-studded lineup has led to a unit that is No. 6 in the NBA in shooting percentage and faces an Indiana defense that hasn’t stopped much of anything on its side of the court. The Pacers are No. 29 in opposing field goal percentage and allow 121 points per game, the second-most in the NBA.

The Clippers were caught sleepwalking in Sunday’s loss to Philadelphia. They bounce back on Monday.
