When the LA Clippers took down the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night, they earned their sixth win in a row. The victory moved them to 14-10 overall and gave them an 11-3 mark in their last 14 games overall.

The Clippers have turned their earlier struggles upside down with their recent improved play. In just a few short weeks, they have gone from a team that looked uninspired to one that looks like one of the hottest in the Western Conference.

Their newfound success is due in no small part to the play of James Harden. The Clippers' starting point guard has settled into his role nicely, and is making worthwhile contributions on both offense and defense.

Against Golden State, Harden even made NBA history.

Harden moved himself up the NBA record books on Thursday

In the second half of the Clippers' game against the Warriors, James Harden scored his 20th point. In doing so, he officially reached 25,000 points for his illustrious career. He became just the 24th player in the history of the NBA to put up that many points.

Still playing at an elite level, it has to be inspiring for fans in LA to see Harden reach this huge milestone in a Clippers uniform. Many long time fans would probably have never imagined Harden donning a Clippers jersey in their wildest dreams.

This is yet another mark that solidifies Harden as one of the greatest scorers of all time. But even so, he has made it clear that the main goal at this stage of his career is winning.
