The Los Angeles Clippers were one of the hottest teams in the NBA going down the stretch of the regular season, though LA followed a 7-1 stretch by dropping its final three games heading into the playoffs.

The Clippers were once in the hunt for a top-3 seed in the Western Conference, but settled for the No. 4 spot, holding off the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns. With LA’s star-studded lineup, there are high hopes for the Clippers chances at a deep playoff run that has eluded the oldest franchise in North America to never appear in a championship game.

Los Angeles star Kawhi Leonard’s status is uncertain heading into the series due to knee inflammation after missing the final eight games of the regular season.

The Clippers went 2-1 against the Mavericks during the regular season, winning the only matchup at Crypto.com Arena (107-88 on Nov. 25). They haven’t faced off since Dec. 20. The series opens on Sunday in Los Angeles and the Clippers are a 1.5-point favorite, according to FanDuel. Dallas went 8-10 ATS a road underdog during the regular season and the Clippers were 17-19 ATS as a home favorite.
