The Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns are playing a major game in the Western Conference playoff picture, as the Suns are looking to avoid the play-in tournament and the Clippers are hoping to hold on to the No. 4 seed.

Unfortunately for Los Angeles, Kawhi Leonard won’t play in this game, but the team did erase a 26-point deficit on Sunday without him against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Phoenix holds the tiebreaker over New Orleans for the No. 6 seed, so it desperately needs a win to avoid falling back in the standings (if the Pels win) on Tuesday.

With all of this on the line, there are a couple players that I’m targeting in the prop market, including two that should help fill the void with Leonard’s absence.

Let’s dive into the picks:

Clippers vs. Suns best NBA prop bets

  • Norman Powell OVER 15.5 points
  • James Harden OVER 26.5 points and assists
  • Kevin Durant OVER 4.5 assists

Norman Powell OVER 15.5 points

With Leoanrd out, Norman Powell has taken double-digit shots in three of his last four games, scoring 17, 11, 18 and 14 points in those contests.

On the season, the Sixth Man of the Year candidate is averaging 14.1 points per game, so we’re not asking him to make a massive leap from his season average to clear this prop. Since Kawhi won’t play, there should be plenty of shots to go around, and Powell was second on the team in shot attempts on Sunday.

Powell is averaging 15.4 points per game, clearing 15.5 points on nine occasions, in 18 games since March 1.

James Harden OVER 26.5 points and assists

I debated simply taking James Harden’s points prop since he’s scored 20 or more points in two of the four games without Leonard, but I think it’s worth having his assists here to supplement on a potential bad shooting night.

This season, Harden is averaging 16.7 points and 8.6 assists per game (25.3 points and assists), so we’re really not asking for him to go over his season averages by a lot either.

The former league MVP will have the ball in his hands a ton in this one, and he has at least eight dimes in 14 of his 19 games since March 1.

That gives Harden a great floor to end up reaching this combo prop tonight.

Kevin Durant OVER 4.5 assists

I’m surprised to see this assists prop this low – and at plus money – for Phoenix star Kevin Durant.

KD is averaging 5.2 assists per game on the season, putting up six, six and seven assists in his last three games.

While his playmaking isn’t as needed with Bradley Beal and Devin Booker healthy, Durant is still averaging 4.8 assists per game over his last 36 contests, posting 21 games with five or more dimes.

At plus money, this prop is certainly worth a shot on Tuesday.
