The LA Clippers will have some work to do this summer.

Priority number one of course needs to be securing Kawhi Leonard.

Next, however, depends on how much money the Clippers have, and how they want to go about shaping up the rest of their roster. There are a few former teammates of Leonard‘s that should be on the Clippers’ radar. Three stand out the most, and in no particular order; here’s the rundown.

No. 1 former Kawhi Leonard teammate for the LA Clippers to consider signing: Patty Mills

Point guard Patty Mills plays a position that the LA Clippers could potentially need next year.

We don’t know if we can bring Reggie Jackson back. He played so well in the postseason that he’ll almost certainly be very expensive.

If we bring back Kawhi (which I think we will), Patty Mills is a solid option to target if Jackson is out of the picture.

Mills played with Leonard for eight seasons in San Antonio, and has always been a great shooter.

The Clippers are a three-point shooting team, and Jackson was a huge part of that. Mills isn’t as good as Jackson of course, but signing a shooter like Mills could help lessen the blow.

He’s a lifetime 38.8% three-point shooter, and has even gotten up to 42.9% in a season before. He’s gotten higher, but in limited games.

Mills is a guy who has chemistry with Leonard, and is a sharpshooter who fits that Clipper mentality and offensive attack very well. He hasn’t started many games before, but he’s still a good player and great fit for the Clippers’ roster.
