Agua Caliente Prospect: Emanuel Terry
Emanuel Terry is a 6’9″ forward that can drive and score on a dime, and his height truly makes him a player to be feared. At the age of 24, Terry is a consistently reliable option for Agua Caliente for rebounding and scoring. He played in every game for the AC Clippers this season and averaged his second-best minutes on the floor with a solid 28.5 minutes per night. Despite being just .4 short of tying his career-best in minutes, Terry managed to have his best season yet as a noteworthy sophomore.
Terry finished off the season with a stat line of 10.8 points, 1.5 assists, and 10.4 rebounds per game. Averaging a double-double per game is a great start to your tenure with any team, and although he had a sophomore slump in some areas, he has done a great job for Agua Caliente so far. He saw career highs in his field goal percentage (63.6), free throw percentage (65.2), rebounds per game (10.4), and he finished with his best +/- score at -0.7 with his third team in just his second season. The only areas of improvement to be made at the moment are in stealing (0.8) and blocking (0.8) the ball, as well as trimming down his personal fouls (3.1).
For Terry, his career has taken a turn upwards and he could potentially see more play on another team in the NBA as a tall forward sometime soon. He is a very entertaining player to watch when he uses his size to slam home monstrous dunks after catching high alley-oops, and plenty of teams would take notice of that. That being said, his development is still pretty early on and there are no clear indicators that his numbers will continue to increase at this rate. If his numbers do continue to go up, the Clippers may have a player that could be used as a future trade piece if he makes it to the main team. He has former experience with the Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns, so it isn’t improbable if they needed him and wanted to rework his contract.
