Conference Finals
Finally, we make it to the Conference Finals.
- Lakers (1) vs. Clippers (2)
This matchup has been talked about since last summer when both Los Angeles teams loaded up on stars. Kawhi and PG versus LeBron and AD. The battle of Los Angeles. While it won’t happen in LA, the series won’t be any less exciting.
Realistic, Perfect, and Likely
Perfect scenario? The Clippers sweep, of course.
Obviously, that is not realistic nor likely. What will probably happen is at minimum a six-game series as the two teams trade punches. The outcome favors the Clippers, despite the two teams having split the season series at two games apiece.
The Clippers will at that point have all of their players on the team while the Lakers had to replace Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley with JR Smith and Dion Waiters. The Clippers wings should have their way with the Lakers but the team will struggle at times to contain Anthony Davis.
Still, the Clippers have multiple players who can get buckets, several players who can check LeBron, and a deep bench. That should be enough to get them over the hump and to win their first-ever Western Conference Finals. Next up? A chance at the trophy.
