5. 2015-2016 Season – Call the Ambulance

The 2015-2016 season was injury riddled to say the least from day one.

Is it fair to judge a season in which injuries played so much of a role that Rivers really had no control? Maybe not, but even when the team was at full strength, Rivers never seemed to gauge the full potential of the squad at hand.

The playoffs again stared the Clippers in the face after a 53-29 campaign with the Clippers gaining the fourth seed once again. The opponent this time, the Portland Trailblazers, another opponent with star-power but not near what the Clippers had on paper.

LA would go up 2-0 on Portland after two blowout home wins, but Chris Paul and Blake Griffin suffered unfortunate injuries in games three and four, leading the Blazers to win four straight and bounce a depleted Clippers team in six games.

Again, this season is hard to judge with all of the injuries and unfortunate bounces, but the Clippers and Doc Rivers failed to meet expectations again after a rough ending to the 2014-2015 season, which I will bring up later. This season was a tough pill to swallow especially being up 2-0 and having a series ripped away because of bad luck.
