Sindarius Thornwell

Sindarius Thornwell made himself known during last year’s March Madness. The guard helped his South Carolina Gamecocks all the way to the Final Four, where they lost to the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

In their route to the Final Four, South Carolina knocked off #2 seed Duke, #3 seed Baylor and #4 seed Florida while being a 7 seed themselves.

Thornwell was a STAR. He had already won the SEC Player of the Year award, but not many had heard of him until the Duke game. Sindarius scored 24 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 5 assists in the upset. The game was a bracket buster for many.

He may not be the scorer for the Clippers now that he was during the tournament, but the rookie has found a spot as a defensive guru who is already drawing some of the team’s toughest assignments, including guarding LeBron James in Friday’s victory.

Take a moment to appreciate his tournament run last season.

Now, we’ll look at the Clippers’ National Champion.
