Match-up Nightmare.
DeAndre Jordan is going to the one of the reasons we beat Golden State.
Now before you laugh at me, please hear me out. It’s quite obvious that DJ has his limitations on offense. He is the best roll man in the league, but outside of that he doesn’t have any real scoring ability. That’s not where the match-up problem is though.
In order for LA to succeed, DJ has to be unstoppable on the boards. That isn’t a lot to ask either. No one on the Warriors has the size and skill to challenge DJ. Sure, Draymond Green gets his fair amount of rebounds, but he certainly doesn’t have the size to do that over Jordan.
If DeAndre can become a pest on the glass, snagging offensive rebound and securing them on the defensive end, LA stands a good chance at winning. In the Warriors 14 losses so far this season, 8 of them have come against teams with good bigs. Memphis beat them twice, Hassan Whiteside trashed them, KAT did work, and Jokic caused problems.
It’s really no secret that the one weakness of the Warriors is they have no real big men. If DeAndre Jordan can exploit that the Warriors better watch out.
