The LA Clippers have had a very successful offseason as they’ve built a title contender in less than a month. How does NBA2K19 think the Clippers will do?

NBA2K19 is one of my favorite games to play year-in and year-out as with me being a huge basketball fan comes wanting to build the Los Angeles Clippers in MyLeague, a game mode which allows you to play a robust 85 year simulation, and bring the team to greatness.

Now usually I exploit the game using draft picks to build superteams, but what if I had no control on what happened? Well, let’s find out.

I downloaded a roster from PS4 created rosters which added all draft picks, including Zion Williamson, Ja Morant and RJ Barrett along with players arranged on their new teams such as Russell Westbrook in Houston, Jimmy Butler in Miami and of course, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in LA.

The simulation, which does have disclaimers, which I will talk about in a second, is of course not a true depiction of what is to come this coming season, but it allows us to have fun with it anyways.

Here are some disclaimers.

  • Injuries were turned off in this simulation because I do not believe in predicting injuries and it also gives a true depiction of which teams performed the best
  • I approved every trade made by every team that I saw fit for both sides, not a trade that clearly sways in favor of one team over another.
  • I did not change the minutes amount nor the scoring options, the CPU just played out the season
  • The schedule was based off of the 2018-2019 season as there is no way to change it.

Let’s get into the simulation, which will be explored as kind of a journey as we will take steps along the season with the team. Notes about what is going on in the simulation will be added of course.
