The Clippers have bought their way into the second round of the 2017 Draft, taking Jawun Evans

Per Shams Charania and Brad Turner, the Los Angeles Clippers have acquired the 39th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft from the Philadelphia 76ers and drafted point guard Jawun Evans out of Oklahoma State for cash considerations. The 5’11 guard averaged 19.2 PPG, 6.4 AST, 3.4 REB, and 1.8 STL during his sophomore season at Oklahoma State and was projected to go in the later part of the first round/early second round by many experts.

Evans is a solid young point guard that could learn from Chris Paul if Paul decides to return to Los Angeles. David Aldridge has reported that the Clippers will be sending cash considerations to the Sixers in exchange for Evan’s draft rights.
